Personal Information Sheet

An internal employee information system developed during my internship at the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI). The app managed thousands of records for 600+ employees and gave the team a clearer alternative to the legacy system.

• Designed and built a Personal Information Sheet (PIS) system using Power Apps and SharePoint
• Managed thousands of employee records for 600+ employees
• Created a reusable component library, including navigation elements, validated form components, and consistent layouts
• Implemented advanced search and filtering to efficiently navigate large datasets
• Created a development handoff guide documenting the front-end implementation so the internal team could maintain and extend the system
• Collaborated with a product manager through requirements questions and daily progress reports

Technical Highlights

• Built using Microsoft Power Apps with SharePoint as the primary data source
• Stress tested the system by bulk-generating SharePoint data, measuring response times, and validating behavior against a structured checklist
• Optimized performance for large datasets using delegation to offload filtering and sorting to the server
• Leveraged collections to minimize data loading and improve responsiveness
• Checked performance and core flows through structured manual testing
• Delivered an initial working version in one week, followed by iterative improvements based on user feedback

The system received strong positive feedback from internal users and was preferred over the existing legacy solution, with plans underway to fully replace the old system.
